We have worked with this compassionate gentleman since 1995 when the scourges of rat-tailed maggots were first noticed in our family.
As a tradi-practitioner, he maintained a record of treatment of patients with cases of rat-tailed maggot gastro-intestinal infestation of school children over several years. His records had 125 cases entered between 1995 -1997 in Alou-Menji, small localities in Lebialem, Cameroon. The medical record gave evidence of expulsion route (anus or mouth), host sex, age and identification (name & address), number expelled and whether the samples recovered were alive or dead, active or inactive etc.

A memory lasts forever!!! Never does it die - so should be our memory of rat-tailed maggots & larvae!!!

Recovery & Expulsion History QuickNotes

The exotic endo-parasite Rat-tailed larvae, whose source of infestation are generally not well known, are recovered through administration of a traditional enema concoction from the watery feces of sufferers.

Again Thanks & Credits

Many times words fail us as they may not reflect the intended emotions, message or concepts. We strongly believe pictures, images, charts etc.  will tell the story of hatched maggots & larvae better.

This framework has only a single scribe-editor, but many many people & sources  shape its content &  form through their (un)published research material (pictures, sketches, images, ...)  that might have been extracted & used without adequate credit.

We are particularly indebted to authors, researchers, laboratories, websites & peronalities from whom we have with or without proper credit and requests, taken material for this  continuing effort.  We take full responsibilty for the content and pledge that all we have done is for educational purposes and-not-for profit.

Thanks much for your understanding & contributions. We gladly look forward to suggestions, comments, new resources and materials.
